4 PLC Planning

This chapter will use the gantry router as an example for PLC planning. When engineers plan PLC in the future, they can follow the methods and steps described in this section.

The planning of the PLC is inseparable from the machine platform to be integrated and the mechanical panel designed by the machine tool. Therefore, before planning the PLC, it is necessary to fully understand the control and auxiliary device control procedures of the target machine itself in order to properly design the machine. Panel and distribution diagrams.

After completing the above tasks, the engineering personnel shall input/output points and PLC parameter list required for PLC planning, and assign each input/output point and parameter name, and elaborate their mutual action and process relationship so as to facilitate PLC writing. The parameters and important maintenance files for future maintenance of the PLC program. The example program of the PLC in this example is detailed in Appendix 1. M4PLC32.CPP.
