4.1.23 Tool Change Procedure


1.

PLC moves Z-axis to highest position of Z-axis.

2.

PLC releases software limit.

3.

PLC checks target tool life time, if target tool over tool life time chooses spare tool as target tool. If spare tool over tool life time either, PLC sends alarm and halt all operation and waiting.

  • M code for reset tool life and display each tool life.
  • M code for select tool life count by spindle rotary or count by cutting length.

Tool holder no tool detecting: The tool on spindle will be put back tool holder, if tool holder has tool must send alarm and stop machine.

Spindle orient, then open tool magazine cover.

6.

PLC moves X, Y axes to tool holder position rapidly which number same as spindle tool number, then moves Z-axis to ΔTZ position rapidly then moves to ΔPZ position slowly.

7.

PLC releases tool on spindle, and confirms.

8.

PLC moves Z-axis to ΔTZ position slowly.

9.

PLC moves to target tool holder position rapidly.

10.

PLC moves Z-axis to ΔPZ position slowly.

11.

PLC locks tool and confirms.

12.

PLC moves Z-axis to highest position of Z-axis rapidly.

13.

PLC moves Y-axis out tool zone. (Position set in PLC parameter)

14.

PLC close tool magazine cover.

15.

PLC turns on software limit.
